25 years later... |
|
The Memphis Days festival was a great
time. We have some video that was shot that we'll post shortly.
Special thanks to everyone that turned out to enjoy the music. As we
continue to write material for the next ILLUSION CD, we're also looking
forward to our 25th Anniversary show, scheduled for Saturday, September
30th. Joining us will be
Fallen Heroes and Relm. The show will take place at the Mt.
Clemens Elks Club, 179 S. Main St., in Mt. Clemens.

New Songs... |
|
We are currently in the process of
writing new material for the next ILLUSION CD. It may be a while
before the album is finished, but you'll be able to hear a preview of the
new tracks at both of our upcoming shows.
Here's a map of Memphis, MI. The show is going to be at Belle
River Park on Main Street at the Belle River Bridge. There will be 11
bands performing, and the music is scheduled to start at 1:00PM.
ILLUSION should be on at around 9:30PM. Join ILLUSION, Fallen Heroes,
Seventh Affair, and a bunch more great local bands for a day of free music
and sunshine. |

We've got a couple great shows lined
up for the summer. First up is our second appearance at the Memphis
Days Festival in Memphis, MI. on Saturday, August 5th. Details are
being finalized, but you can expect another free, day-long musical
extravaganza with some of the area's finest young bands...and ILLUSION.
On Saturday, September 30th, we're having our 25th Anniversary Party.
Details are forthcoming, but this will be an event that you don't want to
miss. |

ILLUSION Fan of the Year 2005 |
 January
1st, 2006. After careful consideration, ILLUSION is pleased to
announce that MONICA MEIROW has been named the
ILLUSION FAN OF THE YEAR.
Vocalist Doug Tucker: "We have thousands of fans around the world, but when
we notice one that is as loyal and dedicated as Monica Meirow, we stand up
and take notice." Indeed the entire ILLUSION band has felt the impact
of Monica's unbridled enthusiasm. Drummer Jon Roybal: "I remember one
particular show this past summer. It was a long, hot day and we were
having a few technical problems. Frankly, the guys were a little down.
Just seeing Monica up in the mosh pit singing along to our songs really
lifted our spirits." To commemorate this announcement,
Monica Meirow was presented with a handsome certificate, suitable for
hanging. Congratulations Monica from the ILLUSION band! |

Thursday Night in Flint... |

We'll be playing one our favorite
venues Thursday night, January 5th. If you've never been to
The Machine Shop, you're missing out. Great crowd, great sound,
friendly staff.

As 2005 comes to a close... |

One last chance to catch Illusion live
in 2005. The band will be playing a special New Years' Eve Eve show at The
Hayloft Liquor Stand in Mt. Clemens.
Here's the entire upcoming schedule. Those of you in Northern
Macomb and St. Clair counties can check out "Mostly Live," produced by
Comcast Television. The show features Illusion performing three songs
in the studio and discussing the upcoming live performances. |

New Venues... |

On Saturday, November 26th, Illusion will play The Old Miami
on Cass Avenue in beautiful downtown Detroit, followed by our first visit to TNT's
Bar & Grill in Clinton Township on December 3rd. After that it's
back to The New Way in Ferndale and a special New Years' Eve Eve show at The
Hayloft Liquor Stand in Mt. Clemens. Here's the

Halloween 2005 |
|
It has become somewhat of a tradition
for Illusion to play during the Halloween season, but this year is special.
On Friday, October 28th, we will be opening for local heavy metal favorites
Halloween at the I-Rock Nightclub on Harper Ave. in Detroit. Also on
the bill is Goat Horn, Silver, and Milligram Smile. Doors open at 8, and Illusion will play at
10:00pm. Here are all the upcoming

disc. Along with the CD version of "Silent Valor," the sampler
